1. Confirming the time of delivery
With reference to the documents provided by the customer, getting to know the estimated date of arrival and preparing the documents for the import customs declaration in advance.
2. Cargo's arrival at the port
The carrier issues an arrival notice when the cargo arrives at the port. Waiting for the carrier to input the manifest information into the customs system.
3. Inputting the manifest information
For air freight, it normally takes five to eight hours for the manifest information to be inputted; for LCL sea freight, it normally takes three to five days; and for FCL sea freight, it normally takes two to three days.
4. Exchanging the B/L
Exchanging the original introduction letter with the carrier for the original waybill (B/L) and enclosed documents.
5. Organizing documents
Organizing documents for the import customs declaration: the waybill (B/L), the invoice,the packing list, the power of attorney for customs declaration, the power of attorney for inspections, etc.
6. Declaring to the customs and the inspection authorities
Filling in out the customs declaration form, and submitting documents for the customs declaration. The customs reviews the documents.
7. Paying the tax/duty
After reviewing the documents and ensuring that there are no errors, the customs gives the amount of the tax/duty payable, while the customer pays the tax/duty. (The customer transfers the tax payment to our company, which pays the tax/duty via the online platform on behalf of the customer.)
8. Cargo inspection and release
The customs verifies the tax/duty payment. After confirming that there are no errors, the customs and the commodity inspection authorities determine whether there are any needs to inspect the cargo (there are a number of ways to inspect the cargo; if the customs has any doubts, the customs will decide to inspectthe cargo). If there are no inspections, or if the customs has no doubts, the customs and the commodity inspection authorities will release the cargo. Then, the cargo can be picked up from the customs bonded warehouse and delivered accordingly.
